1992-04-11 - Saturday - In the evening, 6:30 pm, after dinner, we left for Kodai in Chalappuram (devotees' chartered) bus. Went there by auto. 'Sri Ganesh Roadways' - left at 8 pm. Slept fitfully, tightly wedged into seat. Reached Kodai in time for darshan after washing up at Palani Tirupati lodge.

Got padanamaskar. Have to run to get seat. So, ran. Very dusty. Achan (Father) and I, along with "Babu", stayed at Hotel Sangeeth. The rest (stayed) at Hotel Tamil Nadu. We walk 3 km to and from darshan. Very nice. Evening discourse inside room. (This was the Kodai pre-dinner session, which the students who had come with devotees could attend sitting outside the front door of Sai Shruti in those days). (Discourse highlights -) Nothing can be got without effort. Tulsidas story. Son of Atmaram and Hulasi.
1992-04-13 - Monday - In the morning, we eat biscuits, drink tea at the pettikkada (roadside vendor), go for darshan, have brunch, sleep, tea, darshan + bhajan, then for me discourse (that is to say, I was allowed to sit outside Sai Shruti front door along with the handful of other students who had come there on their own and not taken there by Swami), dinner at Punjabi Dhaba, sleep. Also went to Rasoi, Gujarati food. Today's discourse was on the Absolute which is everywhere. Filled with examples. Really needed recording. Tamil New Year day (public) discourse predicted a good year, "Angirasa". But a few problems in the middle, just to keep mankind under control. Swami walked around in the evening even though no carpet was laid, walking on the dusty ground. Half the crowd is Tamilian. Got prasadam.
1992-04-14 - Tuesday - Swami came very close, created vibhuti. Large crowd of Malayalees, some 2000 x 2. Swami was going out every day in the new Jaguar, saw today also.

We went for sight-seeing in the bus - valley view, pillar rock. Couldn't stay for evening discourse. On the return journey, sang bhajan on request. Didn't sleep, had to cross border by midnight. We crossed the border 20 minutes late, but there were no problems.
