1992-11-09 - Monday - Bus at 9 (for us to go back to Brindavan to begin the 2nd semester). We were packing when Swami sent word. Ran (from Old Hostel to Mandir) and got padanamaskar + sweet carton. Then Swami spoke for 1/2 hour - boys worse than mad monkeys and street dogs - no reason or season - don't you have sisters, mothers? Some rowdy will carry them away. Parents' fault - they also have the same thoughts hidden. Mothers see films, get film children. We started (our journey) as bhajans started at 9 AM. Reached Kadugodi for lunch at 1:30. Got packet from A3 (parents and sister), new specs and eatables.
1992-11-10 - Tuesday - No motivation to remain awake during Suprabhatam. Feel like sleeping. Of course, sleep after that also. (Classes have begun, and) all (classes consist of) intros except Vector Analysis, Math 202, started off by Dev Sen Sir. Real Analysis is Math 201. by Subramaniam Sir. Umesh Sir has jaundice, gone home, so Jain Sir is taking Electronics I. Organic, Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, Electronic Effects, by Ravi Kumar Sir, G D of course for English A. But no English syllabus yet, so no classes till we return from Parthi (after the Birthday celebrations).
1992-11-11 - Wednesday - 3 6th hours (regular classes are hours 1 to 3 in the morning and 4 & 5 in the afternoon, 6th hour is a special class after that) for English, when Swami comes, he will be taking all of them.
1992-11-12 - Thursday - Mind is wavering slightly. Swami's super-charge not showing visible effects. But inside, metamorphosis. Resolution to spend the rest of the holidays ideally so that Swami will be happy. Quiz in moral class (the first hour of every Thursday is moral class, where the entire college meets together in the Auditorium for a joint program - a speech by some eminent person or a program like this). II year + MPC + Commerce of I year versus III year + BZC of I year. II year won - possibly rigged Quiz.
1992-11-13 - Friday - Terrible day for me. At night, kept on seeing such things, Sanskrit, English etc, read "Bear Island" of Alistair Maclean and a Readers' Digest and two Readers' Digest diaries (jokes etc on LHS). Night slept inside sleeping bag with hand outside. D R Kiran and Narendranath elbowed me back when I did to them - my diary fell in the mud and got stains on the bottom side.
1992-11-14 - Saturday - Morning completed yesterday's (bad day). Decided only Swami can aid being good, so leave everything to Him. MRG also has such problems. Took Bhajanavali and Nara Narayana Gufa part 1 for holidays (for Birthday at Parthi). We (1st BSc MPC) are going tomorrow itself (to Parthi). C. Karthik and others apologized in assembly for rigging Thursday Quiz.
1992-11-15 - Sunday - Woke up unsuccessfully. Terrible. Morning class, afternoon going (to Parthi). Bus to come at 2, came at 1:45. Hadn't packed. Did so in 10 minutes, but couldn't supervise loading and putting tarpaulin as Gopi Sir wanted. Boys were unruly in the bus - Gopi Sir, MAK (Mr. Anil Kumar, to distinguish him from Dr. Anil Kumar of Chemistry Dept), Nandagopal Sir and Sathyanarayana Sir + 1st BSc MPC + BCom. Swami gave us a wave after Bhajan, talked to MAK afterwards from balcony. We reached during Bhajan, unloaded (the bus) after Bhajan. (In those days, the bus would be parked in the area between the Mandir and the Old Hostel.)
