A photo from my "Swami albums" - Poornachandra Auditorium, 1994-'95. There is some damage to the photo just below the eyes, and in the background.
Condensing multiple days into a single post.
1994-03-22 - Tuesday - Morning darshan - wrote Stotrams. Then searched for "Random Harvest" by James Hilton as asked by Amma in college library, and after lunch in Hostel library. Did only reading of text till afternoon. Then abandoned text, decided to read whatever is in the notes. But time only from 2.30 onwards, full PHY401 is left. By night, finished Diffraction and Interference, only Geometrical Optics with Aberration theory is left (former thorough, latter not). Only You did. Balaji night-out (meaning that he planned to stay up all night and study), not me and Kshitij.
Darshan time - Swami had a bit of fluff in His hair, but Mr. Padmanabhan did not remove it before coming - felt bad. Morning and evening interview for some marriage(?) group.
1994-03-23 - Wednesday - In the morning, could do aberration theory only of Seidel aberratons, couldn't do chromatic aberration in detail. Also, no time to revise everything except while walking to College. Then, the PHY401 Optics paper had many things (diffration derivation, etc) which I knew well, so it was all right. But start was slow as usual, with Section C, (Section A was very easy, over by 8:05). But did the last two 10 mark questions fast, so one and a half hours were left for Section B, that also wrote too much, at high speed. Finally attempted question 2, chromatic. Didn't do derivation as was very shaky about it, so for impression's sake I didn't write nonsense, also time over, Narahari Sir was asking, "Have you finished?" "Thank you" when I gave paper.
Then, waiting for You who made it smooth - came around 11:30 am in Golden Toyota with (UK?) registration. Waved to us casually as entered Trayee. Slept till 3, watermelon juice for tea, bath, letters to A3, (parents and sister), Kshitij and NS Anand. 6:30 pm Chemistry - Physical Chemistry over, Inorganic, Organic and Bio are left.
