A photo from my "Swami albums" - Kodai 1992 - wearing sandals.
Confident of Ankur (managing the playing of the music over the Hostel PA system before Suprabhatam), slept after Vijayanand woke me at 4:50. Suprabhatam after brushing (my teeth) - large attendance - horizontal mats. (In those days at Brindavan, on those days where Suprabhatam was mandatory, mats would be laid in the dining hall "vertically" and we would be seated room-wise - that is, each room's inmates would be seated in a single row, so that it would be easy for Warden and others to keep track of who was attending and who was not. Mat would be laid out "horizontally" to indicate anyone can sit anywhere, on those days where Suprabhatam was not mandatory, like exam days and so on.) Washing yesterday's stuff - bath 5:45 to 6:45!
Got Swami's mic ready for the evening. Couldn't get Chaitanya and AVC key to tone up the amps, so wrote this. Last two days (of diary writing had been) missed. (Upset) stomach + shifting (room) responsible (for missing diary writing.) Got chairs, went to Stores. (In those years, folding metal chairs would be assigned to each student at the beginning of the academic year. At the end of the year, each student was supposed to return the chair undamaged to one of the rooms in the basement where the chairs would be stored over the annual summer vacation.)
O Srinivas (one of the 2nd year students who was going to be in room A1 along with me) arrived in the evening, 7 pm.
Kalyanamantapam session was cancelled at the last moment. Sir asked us to get things back (from there to the amplifier room), later relented.
