You kept giving me happy surprises. Morning notice - driving licence holders to report. (This was probably some sort of exploration for driving for Swami or Sports Meet or something like that - I had received my 4-wheeler licence last year.) Then, just as entered Auditorium (Moral Class - talk by Mr. Ramaswamy, environmentalist, founder of IIMs, etc etc), Umesh Sir congratulated - 5.0 GPA for 5th Semester! (In those days, SSSIHL had a 5 point grading system which had 5.0 as the maximum Grade Point Average or GPA, which meant O grade (O for outstanding) in all papers.)
Then, in Trayee, You looked at me while going out. Inside, You read out names of those who got 5.0, we knelt, You said 'Good boy(s)!' When You went out ('I'll return just now') to see the Nadaswaram people, I was called front to get padanamaskar, and though You said not now, after final exam, could touch Your feet. You said that You will take all those who got O grades to Kodai, if all get, will take 6 buses ...
