1995-05-23 - Tuesday - cassettes for Discourse recording etc

Quite a relaxed day - orientation programme in the afternoon (for newcomers in the Hostel dining hall instead of some program where all students should participate), so slept ~ 1 hour in the afternoon. Evening also Swami did not come to Hostel (in contrast with the earlier Summer Courses, when He would come both for lunch and dinner every day). Again Sikka Sir study hours - then slept.

Coming to College without cassettes for (recording) discourse, ran back smack through ATP lines (the students would move from the Hostel to the College in long lines) to get cassettes.

Two more pictures from my "Swami albums", again the caption notes that someone found these photos in a library book in 1996 and gave them to me. In the first photo, I'm setting up the translator mic before Discourse, and in the second one, I'm removing the translator mic after the Discourse. Chaitanya can be seen in the background, tidying the cable, and setting away the podium (rostrum) afterwards

Am I being too brash? Running back to Hostel thru ATP lines left me gasping for breath mentally, too. What if I had collided with that girl tearing along in the opposite direction? You saved me. And the gap in the train (we would call the long lines of the ATP and Primary School students "trains") at the corner - otherwise I would've been cornered...
