1995-09-06 - Wednesday - Onam

1995-09-05 - Tuesday - "Cheriyonam" (day before Onam) - evening balvikas program in Poornachandra - 6:30 - Mohiniyattam, Govardhana dance, drama, then hit - Kavadi from Malappuram! Twirling and twisting Kavadi all over body without catching.

Practicals - time wasted as we didn't have 3010 pin-out. Gave teachers' day cards to teachers in Physics Department, made by IIIrd years. 

Morning assembly nice song on Guru by Shivkumar Nagesh. Panchavadyam darshan time - so, "can't hear" to our prayers for song. Evening program - You got up and went in as Kavadi was ending, no Arati. 


1995-09-06 - Wednesday - Morning mass marriages after Koran and Vedam - thaalikettal - that's all! Procession to and fro. Discourse in the evening - I was backstage. Wellington and Eradi spoke. Wellington bilingual speech! Karunakaran and one more Central Minister came after discourse - delayed flight - sat for program - Kuchipudi good, Sanskrit "Dhruvacharita" from Srisailam mic-less by KBR, Pageant "Live in Love"... 

Morning 2 minutes Koran, then Vedam. GVP Sir said, "Mallu boys", so we went, when "Only Bangalore boys". So, returned. You went around the marriages 3-4 times - personally giving saris etc, thaali, putting akshata (yellow rice). You were the one who said, "All get up, put thaali, melam kottatte (let the traditional band play), all clap, ... Songs by singers + small girls. Evening (talk by former Minister) Wellington - I see Christ in Sai. (and probably this Discourse). Program in Poornchandra - again You got up near the end (Pageant), but this time came back for photos + Arati (very fast). Keeping amplifier, Ramu, some others and I had a glimpse of You behind Poornachandra stage.
