1995-10-09 - Monday - Drama boys interview

1995-10-04 - Wednesday - Vishwanath Sir didn't come for class at 9 - waste of one and a half hours. Sainath Sir persuaded to stop tomorrow and give us his notes Xerox instead.

(Got a darshan) place at the back as I'm distancing myself from You. You went to give dhotis etc to pundits etc. Went around smiling 100 W.

1995-10-05 - Thursday - Sainath Sir's class, last - ended with chat condemning Prof. Finishing optics / C++ records. Vishwanath Sir will continue. Prof's seminars all three after bhajan, till 8.

Repeat of yesterday in Mandir, (including pundits). Naturally, can't expect to be full of concentration at meditation time.

1995-10-06 - Friday - Wheezing by night, Vishwanath Sir 10:30 am to 2:30 pm marathon in non-linear optics lab, finished crystal optics. Did Prof's assignment.

Some improvement? Thinking of You as less distant than yesterday?

1995-10-07 - Saturday - KVR gave us "What to concentrate upon". Started Jackson. 3 days each (for revising each paper) only.

Some progress in studying, so doing duty ⇒ You'll help.

1995-10-08 - Sunday - Usual Sunday schedule (meaning that we would go for darshan in the morning around 6:30 am after breakfast at the Hostel) - ate more BONUS than anything else. C++ viva till 3:40 pm.

Could wake up at 5 promptly (almost - five minutes overtime). Afternoon also, didn't sleep overtime. But newspaper + "The Winslow Boy" 4-act play of 1st year (UG English syllabus) - took around three hours, then C++ viva another two hours (waiting). Yet, study hours good concentration. "Ab tak to nibhaya hai, aage bhi nibha dena..." (quote from a song, meaning You have kept me so far, pray continue to do so in future also.)

1995-10-09 - Monday - Topology (revision for end-semester exams) - supposed to finish today, Manifolds spilling over. Sleeping for three-quarters of an hour + Newspaper in the afternoon, partially responsible.

Drama (form) boys interview, stood outside and asked S⁴ (Warden) to list them before calling. (In Hostel parlance, boys who are "in form", similar to the usage in cricket, are the ones with whom You would interact regularly at that time. And drama refers to the Convocation drama, to be staged on Nov 22.) Comments - improve food quality. Calling Venkatachalam Sir "Shakespeare" for his shaking hands - "You are not old man, then why shaking? See My hand - steady ..."
