1995-10-18 - Wednesday - Very sincere at the 11th hour! But of little avail. Half of syllabus left for tomorrow - Mid sem + Polarization. 3 o'clock Satya should wake.

Maybe Optics fiasco (half syllabus left) will make me study better. How about Maunam from tomorrow? (Not speak until spoken to.)

1995-10-19 - Thursday - Did Optics quite badly - (wrote the) last two 10 mark questions after the (closing) bell rang! Affternoon library "Advertizing case studies", "For whom the bell tolls" (Hemingway), "1 Earth, 4,5 Worlds" (Octavio Paz) & "Principles of Optics" (Born & Wolf). Read the first one before darshan, the third one in Mandir. Brindavan boys arrived at night.

Your grace - Anand Solomon (whom we knew well, perhaps three years senior to us, who was a research scholar at that time) was invigilator, so gave 15 minutes extra time; could write something. Reading "Contemporary History" by Octavio Paz - not thinking of You ... 

1995-10-20 - Friday - (We would be going to Mandir for) Morning darshan from today till 24th. Evening, You gave shirt & pant material to all boys! Manasa Bhajare Guru Charanam (anniversary of avatar declaration day). Started "For whom the bell tolls". Finished "The Divine Path", ATP compilation of stories for small children (from Rohit Gaur.)

1995-10-21 - Saturday - Chibber's "Military Leadership to prevent Military Coup" during darshan. Borrowed from Padmakumar.

(You gave) clothes for ATP (Anantapur campus of SSSIHL). You've to walk a lot.

1995-10-22 - Sunday - After "Coup", took Born & Wolf (to Mandir), but Discourse, so no reading. Finished "For whom the bell tolls", also abridged David Copperfield (borrowed from Tarak.)



Morning clothes for Primary School, evening discourse; sewing machines to handicapped. "Man must see God, talk to God, feel God - that is the purpose of life! But continuous decline in standards of thought ..."
