2006-04-16 - Sessions with elders

Yesterday, I had a slight fever, took medicine at tea-time, slept early by 8 o'clock or so at night. This morning I was OK, and walked a quarter round. You had a morning session with us, 9:00 to 9:45. It started with songs. You commented that they were singing too many Devi songs. Then You started talking of other things. About how You used to eat paan earlier. About when Yesudas had come to see You. Scolding about an occasion when excess of prasadam was sold in the canteen.

Darshan round was in the Porte chair. You went all around, then came up, walked along the balcony, called the Kerala and Maharashtra State Presidents with their families for interviews. And we were sent for lunch! I did some data management work - dumped photos from Sony and Nikon cameras to the laptop, cassette to MD for songs sung on 14th.

In the evening, You went down around 3 pm, and called us there around half an hour later. You gave sarees to the women who were washing the vessels at Sai Shruthi, and gave us 1k each, for shopping tomorrow. You again asked many of us names. More discussion about food items. Sent us directly for bhajan, without evening tea and tiffin - "Why all these modern habits?" After a hour long bhajan session, You asked for some 2-3 songs before Arati. "Anandam Tava darshanam" was one of the songs. Then, a session inside with the elders and ladies present. You conversed with Dr. Mrs. Geetha Reddy, who had returned from China. There was a speech by Mr. Ajit Popat. There was the topic of 'Who are you? From where have you come? Where will you return?' and also of '1 gives value to 0 - without the 1 in front, 00000 still has no value'. When Mrs. Geetha Reddy commented, "Pillalu nerchavalisindi" (This is something which the children should learn), You retorted, "Peddalu kooda!" (Elders, too!) And when she referred to us as "Lucky boys", You said, "Not lucky boys - good boys."
