2006-04-25 - Session with only "Kodai boys"

This morning, You didn't come for darshan. In the evening, after bhajans, You called "only Kodai boys" into Trayee Brindavan. You were seated on the Porte chair in the round hall, and that is where we gathered around You.

The round hall at Trayee, photographed on another occasion by someone else.

You wanted the ones seated in the front to do padaseva - massaging Your feet, which You like when done quite vigourously. You commented on the large cloth painting there on the wall, of Padmanabhaswamy, which looked something like the image below -

Image from the internet, similar to the one inside Trayee.

You mentioned how Devi is doing padaseva in the painting and started asking one by one, "Do you do?" That is, do you massage anyone's feet? Various people said they do for mother, father, grandfather, etc. When my turn came, I just said, "Swami..." Later on, You also asked, "What is your father doing?" to many.

You mentioned CR and MS story, how she was forced to marry Sadasivam, who would beat her. Also about Sarojini Naidu and her daughter Padmaja Naidu, of earning good name vs earning bad name. Whether food was good/better at Kodai or here? Bhutia? No, Bhatia! Brain operation, daughter's marriage. You mentioned that ANA's padaseva was good! How CR explained why the IAS officer gets paid more - he gets all the details and comes back in one shot. At the end, while going, You gave all of us safari cloth and an apple each.

The upshot of all this is that Harish and I are to ask You about our return to Parthi  only on Sunday. Spent the evening conversing with Sanjay Sahni sir in his room A5 inside. But before that, dinner and volunteering at stores, helping to arrange pants and shirts with Harish.

I noticed how many things were not written in the diary, but I remember - and many things in the diary I don't remember! Some memories are semi-longish (by my standards!) conversations with Harish, Bl, D. V., Sai sir, et al at various points of time, like sitting beside them in the mini-bus or while taking our morning walks. I had found that I was the eldest among all those who were waiting upstairs next to Your room - though BSK was one year senior in class. Also conversations with Sai Shravanam, Balaji and Sairam in the bhajan hall with the PA system. And on one occasion, when I was with the PA system people, when Satya also joined us, only to run out with an exclamation when someone muffed a bhajan, mixing up Radha and Sita! But on that occasion, nothing bad happened - You did not react adversely!
