  2. Man's different stages of relationship with God:
    Salokya, Sameepya, Saroopya, Sayoojya.
  3. Decisions are options decided by values.
  4. Faraday discovered electromagnetism.
  5. Five attitudes of man to life:
    Spiritual, materialistic, atheistic and playful.
  6. According to Swami,
    Sathya is His Prachaar
    Dharma is His Aachaar
    Shanthi is His Swabhaav
    Prema is His Swaroop.
  7. Divine and demonic aspect of man -
    Saakshara, Rakshasa.
  8. Sathyam, Shivam, Sundaram - fundamental values.
  9. Six ways in which Swami teaches:

  11. Why can't man think, see or do anything in sleep?
    Because senses are merged in mind.

    Consequences of all samskaras, accumulated. He creates everything, including himself, and enjoys in an artificial way - mind is the root cause
  14. Akshara means permanent state.
  15. Bhur, Bhuvah, Suvah are three worlds.
  16. Three matras of Pranava - A, U , M - related to waking, dream and sleep states. 
  17. Another name for Pranava - Ashtaishvarya swaroopa.
  18. Ashtaishwaryas - Shabdabrahma, Charaachara, Jyotir, Vaang, Sri, Nityaananda, Paraatpara, Maayaa.
  19. Shastra is that which the eye dictates.
  20. External world - vishwa. Internal world - hiranyagarbha.
  21. Two paths of sadhaka - Bhaava and Sadhana.
  22. Brahma Bhaava - Vishaala Bhaavana.
  23. Linga absorbs everything into itself. Is Angushtamaatram and not physical. Hiranyagarbha - golden, can't be spoilt, shines.
  24. Whatever you see is reflection of inner being.
    Whatever you think is reflection of inner thought.
    Whatever you do is reflection of inner action.
  25. Humanity is unity of Thought, Word and Deed.
  26. Immortality is ideal that comes from heart.
  27. Snake - rope. Braanthi. Atma is always there, body changes.
  28. Science - semicircle. Spirituality - full circle.
  29. Swami compares heart and head,
    rights and responsibilities,
    negative and polaroid.

  8. What does meditation confer?
    Clears mind, improves memory, lowers blood pressure
  9. Ceiling on desires - not wasting time, money, water, food and energy as all those are God. 
  10. Kodai = summer kaanal = heaven.
  11. Two types of bhakti - markata and marjala - monkey and cat
  12. Three things to remember:
    • Never do anything without Swami's permission. 
    • Never do anything that doesn't make Swami happy.
    • Offer all to Swami 
  13. Food according to Swami:
    Breakfast - Japa and Dhyana
    Lunch - satsang
    Tea - Archana
    Dinner - bhajans
    Sleep - manana. 
  14. Trifles make perfection - perfection is no trifle
  15. Life is the best teacher, Nature is the best preacher.
  16. Culture - what your butcher would have if he were a surgeon - refinement, value added. Value is present in all, has to be brought out by God.

  1. Selfless service is the best medicine to remove ego.
  2. What is the reason for disappearance of Sathya Dharma Shanti Prema and Ahimsa?
    Selfishness.
  3. What are synonyms for atma?
    Satyam Jnaanam Anantham Brahma Akshara Paramatma Kshetrajna.
  4. What is the reason for man to be miserable, sorrowful, etc even though he does not want misery?
    Without misery, there can be no happiness - one has value because of the other.
  5. What are three ways to attain Pranava?
    • Nama chintanam - get worldly enjoyments 
    • Bhavna chintanam - the thought that there is a creator - reach Chandra loka, mental peace. 
    • Sadhana - enters suvar loka - supreme peace - this state is combination of prajnaana and jnaana - bhur and bhuvar lokas - gross and subtle, body and mind etc and takes one to Atma. 
    When all three, supreme bliss.
  6. Where is purushottama?
    In every human being in the form of sachidananda swaroopa -
    being - changeless
    awareness - absolute knowledge
    bliss - unity of of sath and chith.

  7. How many qualities does purushothama possess? What are they?
    16 qualities - shodasha kala
    five elements - sky wind fire water earth
    five pranas - prana apana udana samana vyaana
    five gyanendriyas - eye ear nose mouth skin
    and mind - are the 16 qualities
    .
  8. Who is purushothama?
    One who enjoys all 16 qualities.
  9. Pura = body
    Chaitanya - goes up and down
    vyashti - purusha
    samashti - purushottama.
  10. What should one do to attain purushottama?
    Has to purify all 16 aspects
  11. How can 16 aspects be purified?
    In five elements see each as God, use properly.
    Purify the five senses by see no evil, see what is good, etc. Think good.
    Example - rivers - merge, lose identity, are purified
    .
  12. Why can't one attain purushottama?
    Selfishness.
  13. Who can use all 16 qualities properly?
    Avatar, who has purified all, who is selfless.
  14. When can one realize the 16 qualities?
    Only when one understands the unity of Kshara and Akshara. Atma, divinity, subtle.
  15. What, on seeing which, everything is seen, by experiencing which everything is experienced etc.?
    Only through Brahma vidya.
  16. When can Atma vidya be attained?
    When the 16 qualities are purified.
  17. Angirasa - prajnana swaroopa within us.
  18. What are the four mahavakyas of Vedas?
    • Tat Tvam Asi
    • Prajnaanam Brahma
    • Aham Brahmaasmi
    • Ayam Atma Brahma.
  19. Akshara -
    Unity of A - (permanent, Ananta, Aprameya, Apramaana, Aanandamaya, Atma)
    with Kshara - (temporary, Anitya, Asathya, with Pramaana)
    Each cannot be without the other
    .
  20. Saakshaatkaara - Prayers of devotees, when God appears.
  21. Relation between Aastika and Naastika - Naastika = bud, Aastika = flower.
  22. Three forms of wisdom, relation, inner significance:
    Jnana - General
    Vijnana - Satisfies conscience
    Sujnana - See knowledge whether useful to others
    .
  23. How can one know the value of God?
    When one sees both sides of the coin.
    Unity of Kshara and Akshara, Gross and Subtle, Prakriti and Paramatma, Physical and Spiritual
    .
  24. Truth - Eg - Krishna and Gopikas, change background to remain in heart.
    Coal - make white only by burning.
  25. Three shaanthis - Deha shanthi, Manah shanthi, Atma shanthi, corresponding to nama chintana, bhaavana, saadhana respectively.
  26. Who asked, 'Who is Purushottama'?
    Sathyakama.
  27. Food is different, hunger is one.
    Flowers may be different, worship is one.
    Births may be different, being is one.
