Late yesterday and today also, still didn't feel bad. Could sit in front hall (of Trayee) after bhajan in Kalyanamantap, Swami spoke of Shirdi Baba after Dr. Hanumanthappa. Shivadas had FAITH, so passed exam. Satsamitra*, though wrote well, failed. Baba later gave Satsamitra dead child again born. Parayanam** is really terrific.
* The name may have been rendered wrongly, since Swami's words were not so audible at the back - no mics in those days.
** In Brindavan, "Parayanam" sessions, where a senior or a teacher would share Sai stories, was mostly in Ravikumar sir's room, daily after 'milk bell' - 9.45 pm up to 'night prayer' - 10.00 pm or lights off - 10.30 pm. He used to go through his diary and expand on some of the entries mentioned there. Or he would take some book with experiences of devotees, and mention some 'behind the scenes' details and so on.
I was in room B4. (Late) Umesh sir along with another colleague was in 'B4 inside room' and hence was our de-facto room teacher. Ravikumar sir was in room B9. I've not written about my room-leaders at School - almost nothing about Hostel life. Maybe I should.
At Brindavan, as a 1st year under-graduate, I had room-leaders who were in 3rd year. In my second year, I was a room-leader for 1st year students. In my third year, I had two M.Com students as room-leaders. M.Com had been shifted to Brindavan since the new VC Hanumanthappa wanted to scrap it in favour of MFM (Master of Financial Management), but there were 9 students or so who were supposed to continue M.Com due to having signed up for a 5 year integrated B.Com+M.Com course.
