1992-10-26 to 1992-10-31 - Saturday - a form boy at Brindavan

1992-10-26 - Monday - (We) left (for Brindavan) after darshan at 9:10 in APSRTC bus, just as Swami was coming back from Poornachandra. Went to AP border and waited there 10:20 to 11:20 for Swami's convoy, beside Jodi Adipalli Somappa's hill. Swami came, waved, stopped for 10 s, proceeded, 2 km later stopped, gave Warden cash "for bananas", zoomed off. 

Trayee session (later, in the evening) - only 40 boys - Swami suddenly said, "Karthika Somavara, today, My Birthday". Nobody did anything. Then I got chance to offer groundnuts + water to Swami, blessed, padanamaskar. Sweets (were distributed to all of us) too, of course.

Arranged A floor rooms (in the Hostel) by putting luggage (left by the students who stay in those rooms, who had gone home for the vacations) up (into the upper ledge of their cupboards) and covering with paper (for other students, maybe Parthi boys, to stay there). I slept at 8, they came at 10:50, was told to get up early (the next morning) and put on morning music (in the PA system) at 5 AM (which is the usual practice in the Hostels to wake up the students.)

1992-10-27 - Tuesday - When I got up - Narahari Sir woke me up - found me, dreams also remember, I was doing it. Put music, stopped it (after half an hour, before Suprabhatam), had bath. Told by Ananthrao Sir that there's a music program, get mikes amplifier and speakers ready by morning darshan. I didn't think I could manage, but Sevadals' assistance helped. Unprecedently, Swami said, "Show! Stunt! I don't want to hear!" - cancelled. Swami cut cake, delayed (probably a delayed cake from the 'it's My Birthday' remark yesterday). "Brindavan boys too much ego, selfish, why do Parthi boys mix with them?"

Evening session - rumour was that it was to be in the Kalyanamantap, took mics there, but no. Trayee session - Anil Kumar Sir (who was Brindavan Principal at that time) spoke with feeling of our loneliness, of Swami's leelas in different places. Swami talked for a long time with boys outside, as at Parthi, allowed boys' parents for Trayee session.

1992-10-28 - Wednesday - Swami said Delhi boys are dogs, Bombay monkeys, Kerala beggars. Sandeep (my former neighbour from Calicut) is in full form (meaning that Swami would speak to him often.) Swami's talking to him daily. Yesterday Swami told him the contents of his letter and he was on tenterhooks. Talking of chakras, Swami asked him, "You meditate?" He had experienced all chakras at Srisailam (!) he told me. Swami asked him of his parents, when he is going, said go on 31st. Swami told boys, go to Parthi on 30th, Swami will follow on 31st! Swami said, "I am standing in the sun, good for hair!" 

It seems Swami sang in the Verandah at Parthi, a song He "overheard at Kodai, (telephone) cross connection, boy and girl!" Swami spoke at Trayee after boys shouted. Boys should follow Swami and tell others not to do wrong. Swami told Sandeep (that he had) spoilt one paper (Chem) but will pass.  

1992-10-29 - Thursday - Some rumours of boys going to Kalyanamantapam, that Swami had sent word, but somehow we didn't go. Swami told Sandeep (asked if MBA) that for Medicine, he needs 90%, else donation, your father won't give 10p. Told him why namaskar and put Swami's foot on his foot. In Trayee, he was no. 3, right below Swami. Put legs on lap, asked if comfortable, else go back. Beautiful discourse - When meditate, think whatever comes to mind as God, don't say, 'Chi Chi ...' Concentration is meditation. Before that, Anil Kumar Sir and "Subbalakshmi" Vijaya Sai spoke. Swami kept correcting VS's songs' lyrics. Swami was telling Sandeep, "I know all". Created a ring for a boy and a mangalasutra for Mr. Natarajan (who was Kerala State President of Sai Org at that time.) "Ego, you go". 

Balak chettan (my father's cousin) came (to Brindavan for darshan from Bangalore city) and talked (to me). 

When Swami goes for meals, we can see His shadowy form through the latticed corridor wall. (In those days, boys could go to the Trayee compound any time when there were no classes). Foggy mornings. Video show. 

1992-10-30 - Friday - Sandeep got interview, personal. Sending letter (home) + photos with him, he's going (to Calicut) tomorrow by night bus. Swami gave a 40 minute talk in Trayee.

1992-10-31 - Saturday - After interviews, Swami came out and gave apples to workers. Evening, clothes for gardeners. Boys (and I) got padanamaskar for the former. No discourse, only bhajans. I was very much behind, couldn't see, as Swami had come out early. "Subbalakshmi" / "Sai Gita" and "Vyjayantimala" - Vijaya Sai and Anil Kumar Sir.
