Somehow I slept again after hearing music - somewhat disturbing dreams. So woke at 6 o'clock. Read 1990 cars after darshan, power supply repair till lunch. Instead of going to Shailesh Sir, slept. My glass seems to be well and truly lost - borrowing for tea.
Swami came inside the AVR in the morning - went to window, watched Mr. Padmanabhan who was sent to call somebody. S. G. Sir asked something about not being able to see Swami and He said put a window, or so Chaitanya says. I was right next to the door, inches away.
In the evening, Swami took some time in giving the go-ahead to Warden Sir, so we could go right in front. I was in the 2nd row. Swami read out 3rd year results. "(Name)" - Warden would say "Puttaparthi" or "Brindavan", Swami'll say "O grade", or "A grade", etc. ATP 700-odd O grades out of 800-odd students. Parthi + Brindavan, 101 out of 400-odd. "Kya prayojan?" (What's the use?) Mr. V. K. Narasimhan spoke, trying to condone. "Boys have so many interests". Then, Mrs. Padma Khastagir. "I protest. Discrimination." Then Swami made Anil Kumar Sir speak. "I have 3 daughters and one son" compromise. Then, stories. Swami appearing at N. Y. to Mr. Thomson every day for a month, clearing his doubts. He asked Swami to speak, "This is our Summer Course, Swami". But Swami didn't. Sparkling eyes.
Served dinner after eating. Then Shailesh Sir's parayanam session in room A1. Kodai. Free with Swami in bus - "When did You go to Kodai, Swami" etc. Swami putting chapati fallen on ground in His own plate, putting it back when removed behind His back, "I can see". Plums from creeper.
