Swami gave this pen (red pen with which I wrote that part of the diary) - sent through Warden. + kerchiefs, sketch pens - kept throwing from jhoola and balcony, then sent through Warden for those who didn't get. Compensation for the pen I lost? The one got as XI prize. In Trayee - First Prof. Venkataraman -> science and spirituality. Then, Swami, on the same + jokes.
'What is this?' is science. This -> near the senses. 'That' -> beyond senses. Now love split of love. Desire all 'this', 'that' is only One. Sixty shoes, 3 hours to dress up, disgust comes. Mind forceps catches everything except the Atma which wields it. The Mind, like a snake, goes crooked, touching, desiring, all. Science goes with spirituality for a while - 3 stage rocket - Tamas, Rajas, Satwa. Concentration, Contemplation, Meditation. Meditation -> object, process and meditator become one. "Transcendental", "Dental" Meditation - not proper. Today, puja room next to kitchen - sits with eyes closed - 'Hey! The oil is boiling!' from smell.
Develop conscious -> then conscience develops -> consciousness. Balloon - fill with love till merges. Einstein - lazy, till teacher taught. Wife nagged, poured water. "Thunder till now, rain also." Difficulties come - don't think of leaving. Mango is bitter initially. Shreyo hi Jnaanam Abhyaasaat - Wisdom, (everything) comes from practice. Ants also make a path in stone by repeated movement. Mud pot also makes a dent in stone. Go with love. Resist doubts. Thinking of form from top to toe is good for children to control the mind.
World is a mental hospital. Some are mad after God, others after worldly things. Vaidyo Narayano Harih - the doctor is helped by the patients who sit still - others run etc. Ramadas - desired to drink payasam though told mind, "renunciant". So, decided to drink till mind said, "Enough, I understand." (The last sentence is struck off, perhaps there is some mistake in the story or this was not on this day.)

Just this morning I was thinking, is it possible to get up at 3:30 daily. Today's exam was OK - M. P. (probably Mathematical Physics) - only due to Swami's grace - helped at last moment. But wasted afternoon reading Rhetoric articles. JFETs also tomorrow.
