Woke only when Nagarasankirtan bell rang - so, couldn't go, took bath. 6:20 am breakfast at terrace. Then, SRH (Sai Ramesh Hall), S. G. Sir came later. Mics labelled and put. I was sitting down (among the bhajan group). Cow procession, bhajans. 


After Madhurashtakam and Krishnashtakam, Shantanu and Ritesh (then students of the VIII or IX class) songs - Swami asked them to come up onstage! Confusion - S. G. Sir came running, we put the mics up. Catchy songs - Navaneeta chorudayamma etc. Then Swami asked Ramakatha also - they touched throats - Swami smiled - Ritesh cracked, Shantanu continued. 1st Para forgot, Ritesh prompted, next para Swami prompted, next asked to sing fast repeat and stop. Then Arati! No group songs.


Moved mics from stage when Swami was standing there, waiting to come down (mics obstructed). Next - Hostel. Swami came around 10:45 or so, I signalled music to stop for Brahmarpanam to start etc. Swami went around dining hall for a long time. Ate till stomach was overfull.

Evening - Sir was in the amp room for Amar Singh's and Ruchir Sir's speeches, then went to put Swami's mic, ran back. Bass feedback (booming) on stage, but bass put high, by Swami's word, apparently.

Krishna was to be the 8th child. Narada told Kamsa, any can become 8th - count from 2nd, 1st becomes 8th, etc. (thus provoking Kamsa to kill all of Devaki's children). Krishna didn't kill Kamsa - his own imagination did. Brahma wanted to test Krishna, Krishna created Gopas and calves for a whole year while Brahma hid the real ones in a cave. God's plans can change any time. Uttara prayed, He stopped journey to Dwaraka. Venna (butter) churned with Krishna nama - sweet.

So sweet You are, Sai. Sweets surplus. Felt somewhat queasy by night.
