1994-12-18 - Sunday - interview for Father

The past few days' unwritten diary was an ominous portent. You were out of sight. One of the worst days. Read "Bel Ria" last night till 12, read "Don't Mr. Disraeli" half, and Vishnu Vardhan's 'Seven days in May' (RD condensed). Vishnu became the drug peddler to the addict when he offered me the book yesterday. So, QM went down the drain. Evening bhajans preceded by Man of the Match for cricket (my House, A, won by 1 wicket) and interrupted by 16 mono-acts, finally ending at around 8:30 pm. Power went off, I commented it was divine disapproval - but what right do I have to criticize? So, I must only try to keep my room above board, but not comment on others. Former is duty, latter isn't. Decided to live better, "turn over a new leaf", tomorrow.

A3 (parents and sister) phoned to say Achan (Father) got interview with Kerala (State Trust) top brass, Swami talked for 45 minutes - seemed like a flash, asked "What are you doing?" and questioned about health, said "Don't worry." A3 coming on 25th evening.
