1994-12-24 - Saturday - Chistmas eve at Brindavan

1994-12-19 - Monday - Nothing much to report. "Pickwick Papers" - too long-winded - left it. "Order out of Chaos" and Huck Finn for reading before Suprabhatam. Wrote lines to be written in room-mates' Christmas Cards. Did Math Special Functions. Putta Satish's Gayatri speech - grist for my reformation mill.

1994-12-20 - Tuesday - Morning - no power, so woke only at 5:15. Prof. didn't come, so Basic Presentations - "Research lab" - Fresnel's Biprism etc. Overcast skies + rain since Sunday evening - depression in Bay?

1994-12-21 - Wednesday - Morning - You woke me at 4:20. Did some QM (Quantum Mechanics). Got Fresnel's equations practicals also well. But no concentration still.

1994-12-22 - Thursday - Frustration over wasted afternoon - didn't study, couldn't do thermistor also. So, back to the old sine wave - no apparent improvement. Back to the worst of mental states. Elocution - Avinash Alamchandani, of course.

1994-12-23 - Friday - Because of miserable mental condition, I was pretty poker-faced, till You reminded me how temperamental I had been as a kid and how my present state is probably better. So, could sing bhajans thinking of You - You in Trayee, walking beside me.... But Dvaitam, even lost Vishishtadvaitam of You being next to me. Sports Meet group - I'm in 'Cultural Integration'.

1994-12-24 - Saturday - We were left free to do Christmas preparations - I did practicals. In the night, got stools and tables from FC ("Foreigners' Canteen" or Western Canteen). Then, did a little work making "Stallion" badges for us to wear tomorrow. (At Brindavan, the 3rd year students would arrange the Christmas celebrations, and they would have a "batch name" like this.) Santa to come only at 4:45, no "bumps" or roughing up. Menu & program put up in every room.
