Our room woke before Santa, but lay down again. Sairam and I (we were 3rd years, part of the "Stallions" group taking Santa along to every room) didn't join Santa - too noisy. But no unpleasantness. Nagarasankirtan - poor turnout. We 3rd years served all the meals, I helped with breakfast only. Dinner and lunch, I was putting music (over the PA system.) Got things ready and controlled mics for morning program in the (Hostel) lawns ("Flushing Meadows"). Evening, left it to Chaitanya and waited for A3 (parents and sister), who came around 6:30. Didn't watch "Under Siege" in the afternoon, either.

A3 got a cake, 40 samosas, 40 appams, 1 kg chips! Samosas disposed, other things later. Learnt that You were unhappy with Parthi boys - You told Achan in interview! Achan was very happy about the interview; whole house too. Our car's differential gone, so Dr. Aniyan's red Omni! A3 went to Alembic to stay - couldn't wait for Mr. Bhutia to come after dinner at Hostel. (In those days, devotees used to stay in the guest house at the Alembic factory just across the railway gate from Brindavan.)
I ran around trying to dispose samosas, then had dinner, then helped in winding up plates etc, finally slept around 11:00 pm. Morning program physical events - eating buns, 3-legged race, etc. Evening 6 to 8 on terrace, programs on stage - calling up 2nd and 1st year boys. Dinner on lawns, tables/chairs.
