1996-10-01 - Tuesday - QE&P (Quantum Electronics and Photonics) morning & afternoon lasers note-making - energy level diagrams etc. for 9 lasers. Evening rain, so EOM (experiment) slow to start.
1996-10-02 - Wednesday - Gandhi Jayanthi - So morning darshan. Slow progress in QE&P. "Prac exam" "after lunch" "at 11 am" ⇒ ate rice & went. Just read a little, lots of time waste. Again after chapati, again evening 7 o’clock onwards, PSN & I. Finally over at 10 o’clock at night! Night Satya Sai's breathing problem ⇒ went to get dispensary key - S4 had to go & wake Nageshwar Rao sir & get key. "Nebulizer" treatment. Before they returned (10 minutes), I was asleep! (11.30 pm).
Prof wanted (1) to take further classes for us after 2–3 days (2) me to work in Phy lab in hols! For (2) I hinted "no" too broadly - "Everyone is pulling - Sai Kulwant speakers are to be made" - "at this PG level you must say academics is more important" - I didn't say "Is arranging books academics?"
