1996-11-20 - Wednesday - Made a start with Duffie (probably this book) notes. When tried to install Fortran, UPS failed. Writing diary, letters, takes a lot of time!
Afternoon 'Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less' (Jeffrey Archer) timesharing with Jaganmohan. Night, of course, returned only at 9, so after serving & eating, bed.
1996-11-21 - Thursday - Full time Jeffrey Archer (i.e. 2-3 hours), with only breaks for writing letter, which is the only free time - 1 to 3 pm and 11:30 to 12 noon read O. Henry stories in the library.
(At Mandir -) Water project overview, Mr. Srinivasan. Talk, Mr. Indulal Shah. Then Discourse, followed by Greek, Chinese, Latin American, African and US dramas. Swami's "Tales of Janaka", sending father to old folks' home, an 'Earth' dance, a tribal chief extolling old values (preceded by stilt-walking), Abe Lincoln's decision to declare war on South Carolina, respectively.
