1996-12-03 - Tuesday - class interrupted by Your return

1996-11-28 - Thursday - Speeches in foyer itself - quite interesting. (In those days, the Thursday first hour Moral Class would usually be held in the college auditorium, while the daily assembly and prayer would be held in the foyer of the auditorium.) Installed C++ 7.00, found it requires SDK. Optics Practicals reading FMCW ⇒ tried AM (amplitude modulation) of LED. AV said, do AM with AOM.

1996-11-29 - Friday - Encyclopaedia (New World) really informative and attractive (first two hours). Then, KVR's problems resolved much of the 1002 confusion. Got mics for tomorrow's dumb charades in the afternoon. PSN wanted me to participate - I told him I'm the last choice.

Evening, changed 4 tubelights in Physics lab, two on false roof (climbed up) in Non-linear lab.

1996-11-30 - Saturday - Compu - read lots of documentation, found just "making" a project is easiest way. False alarm of last hour Dumb Charades (postponed). Nuke problems continued. Night some QED (1st chapter).

1996-12-01 - Sunday - Morning O Henry stories in library 10 to 12. After lunch, slept. So, not much QED done. Evening also, half-hearted.

Quite cold nowadays, no fan at night... Morning, wore sweater & trackpant underneath for darshan, with head-bath shifted to evening (Rathnakar style), with cold water (non-head) bath in the mornings. (The Rathnakar style bath was named after one of my batchmates in Commerce stream XI to BCom, who would wash his head and face by directly bending down at the wash basin sink.)

1996-12-02 - Monday - Sainath Sir's class - to divert myself, wrote what all he said. Trying to make sense of what he does being an uphill task, so an escape to prevent boredom - talk of "creative" and "step-down" operators failed to move Shailesh Sir, but.

"Good Chances" by Howard Levin - excellent - in the evening.

1996-12-03 - Tuesday - After KBR's class (interrupted by Your return), optics all the way - AM (amplitude modulation) with AOM, through (1) 850 nm filber (2) plastic fiber. Afternoon rigged up a LM386 circuit (Kshitij doesn't know where his is at present), v. nice. Prof saw as S4 made Pattu call him. FM, PCM, etc coming up.

O Henry's stories started.

(I have not written any further about "Your return", or where You went or any other information.
