1992-10-02 - Friday - Though holiday (Gandhi Jayanti) 9 AM English special class. In the middle, 10 minutes cartoons. Later, again put cartoons. Continued for 2 hours, then realized class was over. Therefore half day wasted. Then did ∭ (triple integrals), test at study hours (which were 8 pm to 10 pm). 3 questions, all limits correct, all answers wrong. Integration mistakes. Today was a test on integrity. Cartoons some were bluish. But though Srikant asked meaning of pornography, did not succumb. All Swami's grace. Also found how Egoistic I am when felt bad when Santosh found a mistake in my sums. Chem - gave some 100 questions, as a Question Bank, for Exam. Quite tough.
1992-10-03 - Saturday - Wrote letter to Swami, Subrahmanyam Sir is going (to Parthi. In those days, when any of the teachers goes to Prasanthi Nilayam on official work, the students could send letters to Swami with them, and they would make sure the letters reach Swami. Most of the time, Swami would Himself come and talk to them during darshan, and they would hand over the letters, or they would send it to His residence after arati.) Only Phy left unfinished. Read "Sathya Sai Baba - Embodiment of Love" by Peggy Mason and Ron Laing, famous people, very loving.
Heavy nose run. (meaning that I had a runny nose). Soaked 2 handkerchiefs. Eating from stores to keep up health.
1992-10-04 - Sunday - Heavy cold and blocked throat with wheezing at times. Saw Sports Scan and Guinness Records. Sleeping with Sikkivahan's muffler and my sweater. Semiya payasam (Vermicelli Kheer), lunch sambar rice. Physics special class 9 to 10:45, finished. Test on Wednesday.
1992-10-05 - Monday - Study holidays start. Phy test better than expected, tho' didn't complete the paper. Now only revision, study of Chem and Sanskrit, doing Math. Ayudha pooja - can only imagine Parthi. A handful of boys put books for Pooja, I didn't. Cricket match - India vs World. They are putting on TV, and showing at Hostel! Warden Sir, Umesh Sir, Anantrao Sir, Gopi Sir, gone to see the match at city!
