1994-04-03 - Sunday - Kalyanamantapam session

Vijay Bhatia's request - they want the VCR in college AVC every morning by 6. Many cassettes to record before Swami leaves. So, today also I carried it before bath.

(In those days, the Hostel itself did not have a video camera. This senior of mine did, and he was allowed to take videos on the condition that one copy is given to the Hostel on VHS tape. I believe his camera would have been Hi8 or VHC-C.)

You came down (from the stage) after sitting down (Sunday bhajans) in the morning, threw sweets over my head, went around gents' side - literally around - coming back thru the central entrance.

Then I got trapped in the AVC. Venkatraghavan came to record something for himself (discourses from Bal Ganesh), CBS Mani also landed up, and I was soldering the Eng Dept Headphones given by Kshitij. So, I couldn't have darshan when You went (out for a drive in the car) and came back. Then, A2 (parents) came (to see me), good excuse (for me to leave AVC). Loaded luggage - mine a suitcaseful, Sudeep's bag + carton box, Ajay's one each bag, carton + suitcase. (These two were also from Calicut, so A2 were taking their heavy pieces of luggage to Calicut for them in our car). Lunch like a Thursday; groundnut chutney, papad, fried rice. Meeting A2 again only after darshan.

Then, S. G. Sir message - Kalyanamantapam.(That is, Swami had indicated that the students should go to the Kalyanamantapam for a session after the evening Arati at Sai Ramesh Hall). Ended up at the same place near the speakers. Super duper Discourse after Warden spoke, "All these boys are here for Swami alone". So, You spoke 1.5 hours freely, flitting from point to point. So engrossed that couldn't reproduce to A2 much, but that Poornamadah Poornamidam - most important point. Wanted cassette (of the Discourse), You made Vijay Bhatia approach me, and give the video! as he wants an audio copy. Pani puri dinner. Night out (meaning that I would remain awake all night) - S. G. Sir wanted me to record Sports Meet and boys' songs "if possible" - he went to Hospital as his mother is ill.
