There is very limited amount of Summer Course content in this diary - the space available is small, and I have probably written notes elsewhere.

1996-05-20 - Monday - After darshan, Auditorium - podia came at 8:15, G.V. fired KBR (for something to do with the podiums?) Program started after Rahukalam at 9:01. GV (spoke), then You - no other VIP. Doordarshan got audio coverage from amps. Generator overloaded, 160V only - scraped thru. Evening (program and Discourse was in) SRH (Sai Ramesh Hall) - I sat with boys, corner seat (and was not backstage). Rain ⇒ dripping from roof. Fixed up afternoon washing bucket rights with Vishnu (sharing a bucket to wash clothes with my previous year's roommate and cupboard-mate). Study hours - S⁴ came for silence motivation.

1996-05-21 - Tuesday - Morning darshan, Hostel, Auditorium (I went straight) ⇒ late - 8:45 when started. Dr Rajeshwari Patel & G.V. Subba Rao ⇒ a lot (of content for notes). But over by 10:30. Ate, slept & SRH. Bath before lunch as morning water scarcity due to power cut. KVR sleepy! Study hrs, couldn't revise like yesterday as Subramaniam Sir came & talked of old BRN days.

1996-05-22 - Wednesday - XYZ speeches! eX Vice Chancellor Hanumanthappa, Y Arvind (my batchmate, he did MSc Chem and later many other courses) & Prof. Zeba. Felt tired, lay down before lunch. “Study hrs” discussed with Mahalingam, Satya, Srinivas, etc. Badri (batchmate, he did MSc Bioscience) was preparing for speech.

1996-05-23 - Thursday - Morning again 5:45, so bath after morning session. Since You're not coming, whole day only eating & sleeping except Discourse & its discussion 8 to 9 pm. Mangoes galore.

1996-05-24 - Friday - 4 o'clock waking, 4.30 bath & mango juice lunch ⇒ sinus headache. Much better after siesta. Stores jaunt, badam milk sachet only Rs. 3.50. Tube light fell down in auditorium stairway. Kiran Kumar (Thumma) to repair.... Drama – prerecorded - rehearsal tomorrow? ...

CBSE results excellent for SSSHSS.

1996-05-25 - Saturday - Nothing remarkable as it is late. I’m writing on Monday as Sunday didn’t take books to SRH. Cold, congestion on hold. To prevent increase, no more 4.30 bath!

1996-05-26 - Sunday - Social work - II PG not put up on board ⇒ took up most satisfying and easiest job - carrying water. Struggled to contact Mr. Laxmipati before & after the session to take/return buckets on Dr. Anil Kumar's behalf. Tumblers (were provided by) Jain Sir. 

Evening 3.30 music program on-stage beside You. Then Prof Anil Kumar (spoke), Discourse, Auditorium Dhruva drama by Bangalore Balvikas (poor) children. Bath was after work before lunch. Washing was at night. Revision started for Tuesday (Summer Course) exam.

1996-05-27 - Monday - Exam tomorrow. But couldn’t read in study hrs as Amar Singh had called…

Jayamma + CG (my senior C. Gunaranjan) + Arjun Banerjee (another "form boy" student - these were the speakers for today's morning session) – J touched on incidents of Eswaramba, said more heat, summer course! Controversy about telling BRN & PSN to marry ATP! Overall OK. Old students’ prg directed by Amar – recording of sound track from cassette, CD & synthesizer - started after dinner (Auditorium with Tascam) ~ 7:30, continued till 11:30 pm. Damu, SAK & I, for Kshitij, Sai K. Jamardan, GLV, etc.

1996-05-28 - Tuesday - 9 o'clock exam - compulsory 45 minutes bits & then 3 mark questions. After lunch, G.V. spoke (2 to 3 pm) discipline for inner discipline. I sat in 3rd row! Unanimous decision to have my haircut at Parthi.

1996-05-29 - Wednesday - Morning 9 to 10 waiting for you, then old boys' skit. Mic failure notwithstanding - was moderately successful. Had opportunity for bath before program, 8 to 8.30. After clothes & all that, dinner, then packing amps & system. KVR & KBR sirs congratulated (I've not written in the diary for what, it could be for the previous semester's results), as also Shailesh sir etc, so mostly roses - Prasad Sir doesn't bear a grudge, hope other doesn’t too, after the bonhomie till 10 o'clock when we left (packed stuff, unhooked horns in the rain - Damu, Lakshman & I). (This was the end of the sessions of the Summer Course in the College Auditorium, so we wound up all the PA system equipment from there - the Valedictory would have been in Sai Ramesh Hall.)

1996-05-30 - Thursday - Valedictory at 8:30 am - piecemeal bath before breakfast with 1/4 bucket of water. Then all agog for Your (lunch) visit. After lunch, (I had in 2nd batch) Auditorium - Drs KBR & KVR busy packing with Seva dal. Transported to ground. All buses were there - traffic jams with ATP & us crossing the bridge simultaneously. 1st MBA/MFM in bus with us (Physics), also 2nd BSc Bio-Science. Started at ~ 1 pm, reached Parthi at 4:30 (wrong turning at Whitefield for a few km). Most slept (I was on a suitcase) till ~3, bhajans 3:45 till we reached Parthi, laddoo & mixture before that. Bhajans 6:15 pm – bath before – (I am in Hostel room) A-16 - 1st MSc room leader.
