Evening - at Poornachandra Auditorium with Naren Sir, KBR, Balaji for winding up 2 snakes, 40 cables. Quarks & Leptons.
1996-09-02 - Monday - Trying out ADC, lab work - sorting, testing components… Babinet compensator seems intractable - finally found we'd take a b reading instead of b/2, so…
1996-09-03 - Tuesday - Banned from borrowing books from library till 20ᵗʰ due to overdue returns. After Prof's class lab work as S⁴ didn't come. Found what was the error in Babinet experiment - we were taking the wrong position as "maximum contrast" - found mistake by (Sathya)2's back calculation ⇒ evening I finished the experiment alone.
1996-09-04 - Wednesday - (the festival printed on the diary says Krishna Janmashtami) - Whole day digging in optics lab - found a broken BPL multimeter, some batteries, pencil sharpener, lots of components. Tomorrow morning again? Sorting components discovered, & resistors, is left.
"Physics Project Course" readers distracted a bit, but now over, so that record work can start.

1996-09-05 - Thursday - Teachers' day - After Mr. Gangadhar Shastri’s speech (on S. Radhakrishnan) (bhajan mic hiccup as singer mic switch was turned off), Dr. Kailash Kumar wanted cushion for Swami's chair) lab work ahoy. Finished "seeing" in optics lab - found 8085s etc. Prof - "don’t give them the actual numbers".
1996-09-06 - Friday - Morning Vishwanath Sir’s theory class (yesterday's shifted to today), evening no S⁴ (gone for social work in village) & no KVR as Srinivas didn't prepare for seminar. So, lab again… ADC working (only one ADC gone - 3 working). പിടഞ്ഞു പിടഞ്ഞു life, like Anch (meaning that life is hectic for me, as it is for my sister) - morning till evening…
1996-09-07 - Saturday - After a lot of struggle, using 723, 741 etc etc, found ADC for −10 to +10 not coming - problem is with Vref/2… Leave it as 2.5V? Record writing slowed a little as yesterday's reading of Aitchison & Hey disturbed the flow.
Sonam Sir etc - old boys sang bhajans, morning padanamaskar etc - they had a village seva near here. Sandipan Sir, with permission, in his speech "I am proud to have brothers who... sisters who ... "
