1996-12-12 - Thursday - Quiz

1996-12-09 - Monday - Lots of time just hanging around. Morning MS & afternoon AV were slow in starting and fast in finishing. Mandir - slept. Study hours (wrote) Nuclear Record. AV and KS are going for Photonics '96 in IIT Chennai. 

1996-12-10 - Tuesday - Energy resources - KBR got irritated for the first time this semester - even I hadn't written solar energy notes.

Tried compiling various programs in TC WIN, then watched Argentine finding loose contact in power supply (due to screw placement!), afternoon loaded TCWIN in Optics and Nuke computers. Chess & Grand Prix games (Win & DOS (Sainath Sir)) for playing in night waiting for Hg isotope readings every 2 hours when N2 comes ... 

1996-12-11 - Wednesday - Since AV is not available, except for Sainath Sir & KVR, no activity. Got amp etc ready during cancelled Awareness class for tomorrow's quiz. SAK will operate.

Evening + study hours for "Quiz preparation" with the team in C-25 (room of Hostel). Y. Arvind (he was in B house, but not on the quiz team) extempore questions ... Ch. Aravind, Putta, D. Rajesh, Vaidy? & myself (make up our house team).

1996-12-12 - Thursday - Quiz was closer than expected, with victory for us if Sainath Sir had given wildebeest = gnu and not given extra 5 to B house by mistake over their protests, also if buzzer had more points & negative marking. TC++ loading in Sainath Sir's & Optics computers.
