1996-12-24 - Tuesday - Morning thought about digital communication system (that's all). Afternoon, "exempted" myself, sat in maintenance (room) deciding on cables for evening (carols) practice, i.e. how to have direct connection for all the guitars, keyboards. But I forgot that I won't be there for the practice - have to be in Mandir to set up for tomorrow. So, told Kshitij, so they decided on their own keyboard amplifier. Missed Christmas pageant by getting FLB (foldback) cables with Damu + TZA (amplifier) in jeep (Pallav sir). Set up, then dinner in (Hostel) kitchen while practice was going on. Kshitij had had it from Naren sir when he tried for his + S2's plan of their own amps. NS had his own plan with FLB speaker right in front.

1996-12-25 - Wednesday - Morning no water in Hostel - "Sai Jal" connection was being made - so no breakfast, only tea and biscuits. To Mandir at 5.15, Carols started ~5.45 am, all reached Mandir by 6:15, You came, listened for 2-3 minutes, "Enough" - gestured for Arati. After (a trip to the) Old Hostel "to take off extra layers of clothes", while setting up, found the cable soldered yesterday had hum, so (after some drama) changed it to keyboard, took keyboard's pucca cable for guitar. Then, driving the 100W speaker at 200? Shailesh Sir says, "It was distorted". Evening, "Messengers of Sathya Sai" - didn't blast us. (It was customary that the representative of the Anantapur Alumni, the Messengers, would include some lines in her speech, that the boys are not doing seva, we are doing seva or something along those lines. Probably because You would ask them to do so. Or You would mention something along those lines in Your Discourse. Since this time there was no such needling either in their speech or in Your Discourse, I mentioned that here.)
